UTI’s knowledge caravan educates prospective investors

PANAJI: The investor education initiative launched by UTI Mutual Fund in association  with the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs branded as ‘Swatantra - Your journey to financial freedom’ is on a journey to 100 cities in 100 days across the country. 

As part of the awareness programme, the knowledge caravan arrived in Ponda on Saturday. After going around Ponda city, the caravan travelled to various parts of North Goa on Monday. It would move through Kundaim, Ponda, Borim, Fatorda, Curtorim, Navelim, Aquem and Margao on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the caravan will be in Cansaulim, Velsao, Zuarinagar, Vasco, Sada, Chicalim, Cortalim, Verna and reach Margao at around 5 p.m. Investor awareness programmes will be held at Hotel Woodlands, Margao at 5.30 p.m. Mr Tensing Rodrigues, a well-known personality in the MF industry in Goa will be the keynote speaker in Margao.
On August 26, the caravan would travel through Nuvem, Majorda, Betalbatim, Colva, Benaulim, Varca, Orlim, Cavelossim, Chinchinim and Cuncolim. In the evening, it would be flagged off to Dharwad. The caravan has audio video shows / presentations to engage the audience which will carry information and material useful for prospective investors.
The investor awareness programmes will focus on the very basics of financial planning and attempt to introduce the concepts of investing through mutual funds as an
efficient alternative.
