PANAJI: A library with over 2,000 children toys for rent and sale has been launched for the first time in Goa by Delhi-based Kids Gurukul.

This unique concept of renting expensive educational and outdoor toys and games is a boon to the children between 2 and 10 years of age, who are never satisfied with one type of toy, now on rental basis can have many toys, said Ms Meenal Jain, franchise head. The membership fees start with Rs 250 monthly and goes up to Rs 4,500 yearly. Tied up with world renown leading brands, Kids Gurukul has over 2,100 educational games and toys, book titles, VCDs and CD-ROMs, said Ms Sona Sharma master franchisees. Located near Syndicate Bank, Caranzelam, Kids Gurukul is the first and largest chain of educational toy libraries, seeking franchise and dealers, Ms Sharma said. With this concept parents do not need to buy expensive toys more frequently which becomes of no use as children grows fast, she said.
