PANAJI: In commemoration of 54 years of its service, the Life Insurance Corporation will celebrate the 54th Anniversary Insurance Week from September 1 to September 7 in its Goa divisional office along with 11 branch offices and 2 satellite offices and one customer zone in all its offices. During the week, many activities are planned such as opening of additional help desks in the office to serve the customers, special drives for creating awareness of insurance in rural areas, customer meets, competitions for school children etc.
Usher Agro acquires 70.18% in
Usher Eco Power
MUMBAI: The share transfer and allotment committee of Usher Eco Power Ltd in its meeting held on Sunday allotted 91,17,000 equity shares of ` 10 each to Usher Agro Ltd. After the share allotment, the share holding of Usher Agro Ltd will increase from 44.35 per cent to 70.18 per cent. Also Usher Eco Power Ltd is now the subsidiary of Usher Agro Ltd.

Levi’s introduces Curve ID jeans
PANAJI: Levi’s has launched a new line of custom fit jeans, Levi’s Curve ID, made for women. At a press conference addressed by Mr John Anderson, president and CEO, Levi Strauss & Company, and leading celebrity spokespersons Chitrangada Singh, Ileana D’Cruz and Jacqueline Fernandez, the brand showcased the Levi’s Curve ID fit system as part of the India leg of the global launch. Created after listening to women from around the world, and based on a study of body scans of more than 60,000 women, Levi’s designers created a new approach to measuring a woman’s body. Through this approach, Levi’s identified three distinct body types for women. The three custom fits include Slight Curve – designed to celebrate straight figures, Demi Curve, designed to fit even proportions and Bold Curve, designed to honour genuine curves.
Beach cleaning by Kenilworth
MARGAO: The Kenilworth Beach Resort & Spa, Utorda celebrated the Independence Day at the resort with a beach cleaning drive. The programme was part of the social commitment of keeping the environment clean. In-house guests, executives and staff participated in the beach cleaning drive.
