PANAJI: The seventh state conference of Canara Bank Employees Union will be held at Mathias Plaza, Panaji on May 1 at 10 a.m. to review the activities of the union and elect office bearers and state committee members for the next term.

The general secretary of the union, Mr D D Rustagi will be the chief guest and will inaugurate the conference. He will speak on recent wage increase of 17.5 per cent to bank employees as well as the pension scheme. The deputy general manager, Canara Bank, Goa circle office, Mr D Shankar Pai and deputy general manager of the union, Mr Ajay Manjrekar will be the guests of honour.
