VASCO: A successful surgery to remove abdominal tumour was carried by Dr Shekhar Salkar and his team at Salgaocar Medical Research Centre’s (SMRC’s) V M Salgaocar Hospital on Thursday.

The manager, operations and marketing, Dr Gautam Dubhashi in a press statement said that the patient, Mr Sadanand Gajanker (50) had come for the routine health check-up at SMRC when the tumour was detected by Dr Carmen Varela. The tumour weighed 7.5 kg and was 1-feet in circumference.
