The third generation of the BMW X3 unveiled recently at an ex-showroom price of RS 49.9 lakh. The SUV is available in diesel variant though while the petrol variant will be launched later in 2018.
Speaking on the latest version of the X3, Vikram Pawah, president, BMW Group India said, “The X3 established the premium mid-size sports activity vehicle segment in India and became the trailblazer with its modern character. The new X3 is set to write the next chapter in its success story with an even more striking, dynamic design language, powerful yet also efficient drive systems and luxurious appointments. Practical both on and off road, the X3 is fully equipped for the most diverse driving demands, combining everything you need for wherever your day takes you.”
The latest update of the SUV is available in Expedition and for the first time in Luxury range. The Luxury range is at ex-showroom price of Rs 56.7 lakh. The updated X3 is tweaked in design to look even more striking. It features a compelling front with bold double kidney grille, adaptive LED headlights and LED fog lamps featuring a hexagonal design. At the rear, LED taillights combined with a low-slung roof spoiler, exhaust tail pipes on both sides in chrome make for powerful appearance. The automatic tailgate operation allows convenient opening and closing of the tailgate.
In terms of technology, the mid-sized SUV features the display key that allows driver to keep in contact with their car round the clock. Lights projected from the side sill welcome passengers in glamorous style. Also the vehicle has rear-view camera with park assist which assists in parking or maneuvering into parallel or lateral spaces. A smart phone holder is integrated into the centre console which allows inductive, wireless charging.
The new X3 is also equipped with an extensive range of smart systems like the ConnectedDrive, the 12.3-inch multifunctional instrument display, iDrive, touch-screen navigation, 600 watts high-end sound system, etc.
