GST Seminar on Oct 16 at GCCI

PANAJI: The GCCI in collaboration with  Commissionerate of CGST, Goa  and  BDO  will be  organising a full day seminar  on October 16,  at GCCI Conference Hall. The seminar will cover the latest amendments in GST  and GST returns and  will be  addressed by   Mumbai based chartered accountant Janak Waghani and CGST officials The latest GST Council in Goa  on September 20  had  proposed    several changes  in GST rates on specified goods and services  and  also  ushered in a lot of other important  changes in the rules  that  affect  job work, manufacturing, tourism, real estate and other sectors.  The seminar will also have a presentation on “Sabka Vishwas (Legacy Dispute Resolution) Scheme 2019”.  This Amnesty scheme offers  relief by waving off part of tax dues  and  the  range of such relief to be granted varies from 40- 70 per cent depending on the quantum of disputed amount and the facts of the case. GoAir creates history, adjudged most punctual airline for 12 months in a row

PANAJI: According to data released by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) GoAir  has emerged as the most punctual airline in August 2019, thereby creating history in the Indian aviation sector. This is the 12th month in a row that GoAir has achieved the distinction of being on top of on-time-performance (OTP) charts. As per the data released, GoAir registered 85.1% OTP, the highest among scheduled domestic airlines in August 2019. During the month of August 2019, GoAir flew 13.91 lakh passengers with barely 0.85% cancellations as against an industry average of 1.61% for scheduled domestic airlines in the month of Aug 2019. The airline had 0.4 complaint rate per 10,000 passengers in the month August 2019.  NT

Arvind SmartSpaces with HDFC Capital set up housing platform

Ahmedabad: Arvind SmartSpaces Limited, a part of the Lalbhai group, headquartered in Ahmedabad, announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with HDFC Capital Affordable Real Estate Fund 1    (H-CARE 1) – a fund managed by HDFC Capital Advisors Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of HDFC Ltd. The partnership will focus on the development of affordable and mid-income housing projects in India while ensuring quality and timely delivery of finished units. The proposed developments will be undertaken by a special purpose vehicle “Arvind Homes Private Limited” set up with an initial investment of Rs 250 crores.  NT
