Benelli India opened its first dealership in the state on Wednesday to showcase the entire range of the superbike models to Goan customers. The dealership, Royal Motors, is located in Taleigao and owned by local businessman Anthony Noronha with background of dealing in auto spare parts.
Vikas Jhabakh, managing director, Benelli India, said, “The brand already has a presence of 250 customers in the state for the past two years and the dealership will give customers good service and after sales support.”
He added, “Goa is of great importance to us. We also believe that our dealership is not just a place to serve customers but a platform for enthusiasts to come and interact with like-minded riders.”
He pointed out that, Royal Motors has similar philosophy of customer service in tandem with Benelli. “The employees at Benelli-Goa are trained to offer the best in terms of sales, service, spare parts and customer service, allowing customers to enjoy best-in-class, stress free ownership experience,” he said. A new model TRK 502 was unveiled during the opening of the showroom.
Interacting with the press, Noronha said, “It is a proud moment to be associated with the superbike brand. As a dealer for motorbike spare parts I always had a craze for Benelli bikes. There is a need for branded bikes to enter the state”
Besides the new dealership, Benelli also has a workshop in Porvorim. Jhabakh, said that, the brand target would be to get back to the market as quick as possible and witness more Benelli bikes on the streets of Goa”.
Benelli currently has 13 dealers across India and plans to attain the mark of 40 dealers by 2019. “In Goa we do not plan to open any more dealership as we see strong support coming in from the newly launched showroom. However we might plan on introducing new outlets and service centers across Goa to come closer to our customers,” said Jhabakh. Benelli operations in India is through Adishwar Auto Ride India, a part of the Mahavir Group. The company has set up an assembly plant in Hyderabad. Currently the company manufactures and imports the bikes from Italy and South East Asia region.
