A labourer of a fishing canoe feared drowned while his fellow fisherman was rescued when the vessel capsized while coming back to the Baina shore on Sunday.
The harbour coastal security police said that a group of ten fishermen, including canoe owner Naga Ganpa Tandel, had ventured into the Arabian Sea at around 6 am from the Baina seashore.
However, while coming back the canoe ‘Ashish’ capsized due to rough weather conditions. Two of the ten labourers fell into the sea at around 9 am when the canoe was some 20 metres away from the Baina seashore.

labourers managed to rescue one of the fishermen fallen into the sea, while the other went missing.
The missing fisherman has been identified as Shrikant Yadav (25), who is a resident of Katem-Baina but hails from Chhattisgarh.
Tandel, a resident of Katem-Baina, has filed a missing complaint about his labourer.
The harbour coastal security police, the Coast Guard and lifeguards of the Drishti Special Response Services conducted intensive search and rescue operation to trace the missing fisherman, but failed to locate him till late Sunday evening.
The search and rescue operation was stopped owing to low visibility, but would be resumed on Monday morning.
