Convinced of the enduring powers of ayurveda, international tourists travel to India to avail ayurvedic treatment, said Minister for Health Vishwajit Rane.
The Minister was speaking after inaugurating a 5-day mega ayurvedic neuro therapy medical camp organised by Matrubhumi Seva Pratishthan Goa, Dr Manoj Sharma Ayurvedic Neuro Hospital and Research Centre, Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College of Arts and Commerce, Pernem, Deen Dayal Seva Pratisthan, Bicholim, Harmal Panchkroshi Shikshan Mandal, Lokmanya Ganeshotsav vishbvasth Mandal, Pernem, Department of Horticulture , Directorate of Health and Services Goa (AYUSH Department) and Sandu Pharmaceuticals Ltd at Ravindra Bhavan Sankhali .
Rane further said that ayurveda can treat some diseases which allopathy cannot cure. He urged people to take full benefit of the treatment available at the camp. He also appreciated efforts of Ayush Minister Shripad Naik to set up the National Institute of Ayurveda and Naturopathy at Dhargal along with two ayurvedic and naturopathy hospitals, one each in Sankhali and the other in Margao. Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Dr Pramod Sawant said that the health of an individual is as important as the wealth to live a healthy, peaceful and prosperous life.
Ankita Navelkar president Zilla Parishad, North Goa, Dharmesh Saglani, chairperson of Sankhali Municipal Council, Valabh Salkar, chairman Deen Dayal Seva Pratisthan Suraj Naik, general secretary of Matrubhumi Seva Pratishthan Goa, Dr Datta Bhatt were present along with others on the occasion.
Swati Mainkar compered the function while Dr Sandeep Sawant proposed the vote of thanks.
