Keri-based, Priya Dalvi, author of the book ‘What about Passion?’ recently attended the second edition of South Asian Youth Summit (SAYS) held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, primarily for the youth SAARC countries hosted by International Youth Committee (IYC). Dalvi, representing India spoke on the topic ‘Chasing Passion: Concept and Misconception’ and touched upon the difference between fantasy and passion.
At SAYS her book ‘What about Passion?’ which is a non-fiction book featuring stories of 12 young engineers who took up creative/non-engineering careers was awarded ‘Asia Inspiration Award 2018’ in the Literature category for its youth-oriented content.
Sharing her experience to NT BUZZ, Dalvi says: “Receiving the award was overwhelming. This is just the beginning and there’s a lot to learn, improve, and contribute. Also, to connect with people from different spheres, learn from their cultures, and contribute to such a great platform was a prodigious experience. Recognition and opportunities like this will only help us do better than yesterday.” Dalvi is among the few Indians who were awarded Asia Inspiration Award 2018 for work in respective fields.
