Studio 07 Fine Art Academy is all set to host their fourth annual exhibition titled ‘History of Art’ on February 3. NT KURIOCITY gets more details


Studio 07 Fine Arts Academy, Vasco that is working towards promoting art in the society will conduct their fourth annual exhibition ‘History of Art’. Around 95 acrylic paintings on oil paper and canvas by 62 students from the Academy will be on display. Participants include school and college students, schools teachers, doctors and other professionals.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on February 3 at 5 p.m. by South Goa MP, Narendra Sawaikar while guest of honour will be chairman, Ravindra Bhavan, Vasco, Sanjay Satardekar and artist Naguesh Rao Sardessai as a special invitee.

Apeksha Nadkarni, a fine art student who started the Studio 07 Fine Art Academy in 2015 says:  “This year we are replicating all masters from history of art like Leonardo da Vinci, Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, Salvador Dali, Gustav Klimt, Raja Ravi Varma, MF Husain and many more.”

Having four years of experience in teaching at the academy, she adds that as young minds are best to sow the seeds of art, they are trying to concentrate on training the children from the Mormugao Taluka in painting and fine arts. Around 70 students are currently training under the academy.

Nadkarni further informs that they also make a calendar which has one painting of each student.  This calendar is then given to all parents and guests present on the exhibition day.

The ‘Best Painting of the Year’ trophies and certificates will be given in five categories: little camps, sub junior, junior, senior and open category.

The exhibition is organised in collaboration with Ravindra Bhavan, Vasco and the Adani group.
