Panjim Youth Club in association with Department of Art and Culture will organise a cultural programme of music and dance ‘Yeh Shaam Mastaani’ on February 23 at 5 p.m. at Dinanath Kala Mandir, Kala Academy.
First runner-up, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Golden Voice Hunt, Ali Hussain will perform live with Goan singers like Gautami Hede Bambolkar, Samruddha Chodankar, Viraj Verekar, Vibha Algundi, Chirag Tripathi, Sagar Naik and Sneha Nagarsenker. There will also be a performance by winners of All Asia Salsa and Bachata dance, Amit and Sakshi.
Addressing a press conference on Monday at Institute Menezes Braganza, president of the association, Balkrishna Hodarkar said: “For over 45 years we have been actively involved in various sports, cultural and social activities. We are hosting ‘Yeh Shaam Mastaani’ for the second time as last year’s response was good. This year we wish to bring new artistes on the platform. We request music and dance lovers to come for the event in large numbers.”
The chief guest for the event will be minister for art and culture, Govind Gaude and guests of honour will be minister for housing, Jayesh Salgaonkar and vice chairman of GIDC, Sidharth Kuncalienker will be the guest of honour for the event.
