Panaji police arrested three accused including a woman and seized ganja worth over Rs 35,000 in three different raids in the city on Tuesday.
The accused arrested have been identified as Shalu Kale (30) Suraj Pawar (32) both residing near Bal Bhavan and Maya Shankar (35) a resident of Sancoale-Cortalim.
According to the police, acting on reliable information three different teams cracked down on the sale of narcotic substances in the city.
The raids were conducted near Joggers park, Divja circle and at Campal Panaji wherein 355 grams of suspected ganja worth Rs 35,000 has been seized. Police said that Kale was found to be in possession of 115 gram suspected ganja whereas Pawar had 140 gram and Shankar 100 gram of the
Police said that three teams headed by PSI Vivek Halarnkar and Lady PSI’s Prasai Shetye, Vibhavari Gaonkar conducted the raids under the supervision of PI Siddhant Shirodkar.
