PANAJI: DySP Uttam Raut Dessai has said that students should stay away from bad habits which will ruin their life.

He was speaking at the launch of Swacch Pakhwada organised at The New Educational Institute Curchorem. The Swacch Pakhwada is an initiative of Goa Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.

Pradip Kakodkar, chairman of The New Educational Society, Satyesh Kakodkar, manager of The New Educational Institute, headmistress Supriya Mahale Purohit, member of PTA Shyam Sarrmalkar and assistant headmaster Suraj Joshi were present on the occasion. Raut Dessai requested the students to imbibe the culture of cleanliness in them and be disciplined citizens of future India.

He further urged to keep the workplace and surrounding clean to make India clean.

Earlier, DySP Uttam Raut Dessai administered the oath of cleanliness to students of the school.

Chairman of school Pradip Kakodkar welcome the gathering. While headmistress Supriya Mahale Purohit proposed the vote of thanks. Shilpa Kakodkar compered the programme.

On the occasion, students performed a variety of programmes depicting the need for a clean India.

Various activities on cleanliness and personal hygiene are being organised in the school as a part of Swacch Pakhwada. The event was coordinated by Jayanti Avde, Shilpa Kakodkar and Abhay Dessai.
